Lass was a Collie with a beautiful story of redemption. Lass’ story of transformation, in Lessons From A Sheep Dog, is similar to the redemption of sinners through Christ. Lass became transformed from timid, defensive, and gaunt to trusting, loyal, and healthy when she accepted the new life and purpose given to her by, her new master, Phillip Keller. “She had found the fortitude to let me touch her life.” (page XV) It was a daring step. Likewise, if anyone repents and accepts Christ as their new master, He will redeem them by casting away their sins and giving them true purpose. Romans 3:23-24 reads, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,…” This verse specifies that all are eligible to receive this gift of redemption. Just like Lass, you too can find new life. If you have not yet accepted this gift, I encourage you to receive His loving gracious gift now.
