Beyond Hope?

If you have ever wondered whether there is hope for you, I encourage you to read Lessons From a Sheep Dog by Phillip Keller. It is a beautiful, true life story about a sheep dog’s redemption.

When Phillip Keller first observed Lass, he gazed upon her as God views His children. Phillip Keller admitted, “She was a dog gone wrong, almost beyond hope or help.” (page X) However, he noted her potential. “Yet somehow I saw beyond this. In her I saw a keen intelligence and a great capacity to learn.” (page X) He chose her because he intended to develop the potential she possessed. Similarly, God can use anyone, whether scarred, hurting, rejected, shunned, scoffed or unworthy, to fulfill His will. Though aware of our shortcomings, God, our Father, chooses to use our potential for His glorious purposes. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord reminds Paul, “… ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’… ” Consequently, we can thank God that he redeems our weaknesses, that He might use them for His glory. I encourage you to, despite your weaknesses, ask God to use you today.

Hi, I'm Kalli! I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I am the oldest of seven siblings. For fun I enjoy making skin care products, reading, writing, cooking, baking, crafting, knitting, and more. I live at home where I am preparing to be a homemaker like my amazing mother. My heart's desire is to bless others. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. -Col. 3:17
